Your billing page shows live usage for the current period. This is the best place to catch trends early.

How usage is measured

Usage is metered hourly and aggregated for the billing period. It includes all active billable resources in your team, such as:
  • servers,
  • proxies,
  • databases,
  • dedicated IPs.

Overage formula

overage = max(0, total usage - included usage) Example:
  • included usage: $80
  • current total usage: $96
  • overage: $16

Why forecasts matter

Mid-cycle usage is only a partial picture. If you are growing fast during the cycle, projected usage is a better risk signal than current usage alone.

Spending limits

You can set a team spending limit for metered overage. This acts as a budget guardrail. When exceeded, Minenet enforces billing-protection behavior until billing is corrected.
  1. Set a spending limit that matches your acceptable risk.
  2. Review usage weekly (more often during scaling events).
  3. Raise plan tier before repeated overage spikes.
  4. Keep billing contact and payment method current.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Waiting until end of cycle to check usage.
  • Scaling many resources at once without checking projected impact.
  • Leaving spending limit unset for strict-budget environments.
