Payment status directly affects resource safety and access. Understanding these states helps you prevent avoidable outages or deletions.

Subscription statuses

  • trialing: trial access before a paid cycle starts.
  • active: normal operation.
  • active with scheduled cancel: subscription stays active until period end.
  • past_due: payment issue detected; access continues while payment is corrected.
  • unpaid: payment retries exhausted; grace countdown is active.
  • canceled: subscription ended and resources are considered closed out.

What happens at unpaid

When status becomes unpaid, Minenet starts a 7-day grace workflow. During this window:
  • warning/reminder emails are sent,
  • in-app warning messaging is shown,
  • urgent billing correction is required.
If unresolved by the end of grace, resources are deleted.
Unpaid deletion is permanent. Treat unpaid warnings as immediate action items.

Grace timeline

  • Day 0: grace starts and payment-failed email is sent.
  • Day 3: reminder email is sent.
  • Day 6: final warning email is sent.
  • Day 7: grace expires, deletion workflow runs, and resources-deleted email is sent.
If subscription status returns to non-unpaid before expiry, active grace workflows are canceled.
  1. Open your billing page immediately.
  2. Fix payment method and confirm subscription returns to active.
  3. Verify team status no longer shows unpaid.
  4. Confirm critical resources are healthy.

Preventing future incidents

  • Keep billing contact details current.
  • Use alerts and recurring billing checks.
  • Keep a reasonable spending limit and capacity plan.
